ARA Review by Amir Rostami 1 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

"In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All" by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is a thought-provoking and inspiring book that explores the concept of unity and how it can bring us together and help us navigate the struggles of life. One of the most positive aspects of the book is the way it approaches the concept of unity. Hughes presents the idea that we are all connected and that we are all going through similar struggles in life, regardless of our differences. This message is delivered in a way that is both uplifting and relatable, and it helps to foster a sense of empathy and understanding towards others. By emphasizing our common humanity and the struggles that we all share, Hughes encourages readers to see beyond their own problems and to recognize the challenges and experiences of others. This message is particularly relevant in today's divisive and polarizing world, where it can be easy to become isolated and focused on our own problems and differences.

Hughes also uses personal anecdotes and examples to illustrate this concept, which helps to make it feel more real and relevant to the reader. His stories are relatable and compelling, and they help to bring the message of unity to life in a way that feels authentic and genuine. Additionally, Hughes writes in a warm and compassionate tone, which further helps to foster a sense of understanding and connection with the reader. His words are infused with a sense of hope and positivity, and he encourages readers to see the beauty and value in their own struggles and in the struggles of others.

One negative aspect of the book is that it can be somewhat repetitive at times. Hughes often reiterates the same points and ideas throughout the book, which can make it feel a bit repetitive. This can be a bit of a distraction and can take away from the impact of the book's message. However, this repetition is likely intentional, as Hughes is trying to drive home the importance of the message he is conveying. By repeating his ideas, he is emphasizing their importance and helping to ensure that readers fully grasp their significance. Additionally, some readers may find the writing style to be a bit preachy or overly sentimental at times, which may turn them off from the book. Hughes is passionate about his message and he writes with conviction and enthusiasm, but this can sometimes come across as preachy or self-righteous. Some readers may find this off-putting and may struggle to connect with the book as a result.

Overall, I would rate this book as a 4 out of 5. While it does have some repetition and a writing style that may not appeal to everyone, the message of unity and understanding is an important one that is delivered in an inspiring and relatable way. Hughes does a great job of presenting this message in a way that is both meaningful and accessible, and he offers valuable insights and advice for anyone looking to improve their relationships with others and find meaning and purpose in their lives.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for some inspiration and guidance in their life. The message of unity and understanding is universal and applicable to anyone, regardless of their circumstances. Whether you are going through a tough time or simply looking to improve your relationships with others, this book is sure to offer some valuable insights and advice. It would be especially useful for those who are struggling to find meaning or purpose in their lives, as Hughes's message of unity and connection can provide a sense of belonging and support. Additionally, this book would be a great read for anyone who is interested in self-improvement or personal growth, as it encourages readers to look beyond their own struggles and see the common humanity that connects us all.
