ARA Review by dublinwriter of Final Notice

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

The book opens with some problems that seem to be plaguing America at the moment; that of active shooters in schools and colleges and the ability or lack thereof, of the response of seniors to such threats.

Current problems with high tech gadgets add to the overall story arc and resultant feelings of tension, exclusion and general discontent with the issues of life. The sports watch that can report your vitals as regards health makes for some uneasy reading.

The watch is giving death notices to certain people who are reacting in a violent way. I liked the shift to the underground in London as it is a place I’m very familiar with.

From a professional point of view some of the spacing between chapters looks off. It might be a formatting issue. The characters are true to form and benefit the story nicely.

The story has an even space and concludes in a satisfactory manner. One is reminded that it is only fiction but the parallels to modern day living make for uneasy reading.
