I did not find an issue with it since they were is no blood relation. What I did find offensive was that Hiram didn’t expect his son to step up and be responsible for his child.

I felt very uncomfortable reading about their intimate relationship early in the book. However, when their relationship developed into one of love and happiness, I genuinely felt happy for them too. But it was still quite shocking to be confronted with this kind of almost-incestuous relationship so early in the book. I would definitely consider these events before recommending this book to friends who might be offended by it.

I did not think it was offensive because you have to follow your heart and if it tells you someone is good for you, then you have to listen to it.

I was not offended by it and I felt sad for them that they couldn't be open about their relationship. What did offend me was Hiram's behavior toward the situation. I have never been more furious at a character than him.

It felt a bit strange to me to read those scenes. I would prefer if thos scenes were cut off.

I must say that the relationship wasn't necessary at all in the book and it annoyed
me. The author didn't do well in the character development.

If things had been reversed Billie could have been accused of any number of things, but because it was Tasha nothing happened. I didn't have a problem with the step-sister/brother thing because they were not related nor had they grown up together.
I agree, I was quite angry when Tasha took advantage of Billie. They're not related, which is fine biologically, but it's morally questionable in society. Regardless, I really hated Tasha ever since she did this, it's not the way to go.

I found the relationship between Billy and Tasha absolutely offensive and disgusting. However Kids who grow up with such parents and in a chaotic home usually get into these behaviors. To me the parents should be blamed.
