I disagree. A single movie would not work (especially since so much was left unresolved at the end with the cliffhangers), but multiple movies or a television series would do well. The A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin was extremely detailed and look how well "Game of Thrones" did on HBO! A lot of details can be represented visually so the level of detail would be simplified on screen.sjenkins39 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2019, 21:16 I think it would be difficult to adapt this book as a movie because of how detailed the book is.
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

But since we're usually talking about English-speaking producers and actors, I don't know how they would represent Celtic and Latin (after all, this language difference plays an important role). And the american movie industry is not receptive towards subtitles.
