This is very true. All the characters in any work serve a particular purpose, even those minor characters that do not always serve a big role. It is true that things might not have remained the same if Kelly had not come into picture.

I think that what happened was only because Kelly was in the picture. Otherwise, it would have proved hard to initiate something that would not have been brought to fruition.

Wow, this is definitely true. I support this totally. Her role can be like a tip of a submerged iceberg but the impact was very enormous. It was felt throughout the story.CatlynnHighlights wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 16:34 Kelly was the tipping point that changed Sliver from a robotic person who followed orders, to one that thought for himself.

I agree with you. I think with or without Kelly, Sliver would have eventually flipped out or just kept doing missions until he met his demise.StarkidStarling wrote: ↑02 Aug 2018, 15:14 That's an interesting question. I didn't think she added any value to the novel, but it probably would have turned out different if she was not a part of it. I'm sure Sliver would have had a mental breakdown over something else at a later point in time, but he may have done a lot more damage without her.

I agree. I think for all intents and purposes, Kelly was actually the starting point of this story. Without her, Sliver would have gone on as per usual. And that would have made for a very boring book...WendyNorth wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018, 11:05I agree with you. So the real question is what exactly did Kelly do to cause the shift in his attitude. I don't think she was a cause, rather she was a final straw so to say, I think he was close to breaking soon and she gave him some direction, so yes he would've caused more damage without her. She doesn't seem like a catalyst to me.StarkidStarling wrote: ↑02 Aug 2018, 15:14 That's an interesting question.
