Hi, I'm excited to dive into Norma and discuss it with you two!

I know the forum was just opened yesterday, but I was wondering where everyone was at in the book (if you've started reading it)? I want to see how fast I should be reading

I've got a little over 20 pages done (which is an amazing count for me, given my current slump). :tiphat:

Nice! I'm on chapter 2, as well, but it's page 35 for me. :)

Did we want to touch base every couple of chapters? Every few chapters? Or just go with the flow and come in here whenever we want to drop by and maybe state something like, "Spoilers: Chapters __ - __"? (I'm thinking chapters since we probably have different versions of the book and the chapters will land on different page numbers).

Just go with the flow and write Spoilers alert. :)

The story is a bit confusing. I reached the part where Norma tries to unlock her mom's secrets. I like the concept of the hair as a feeling sensor.

Do you understand what is going on? Norma's mom died in mysterious circumstances and her bosses are somehow involved and looking for her contacts. She was involved in some fishy trade I think. I guess all will become clear as the story unfolds.

Sounds good. :)

Yes! I find the story confusing, too. I found myself rereading certain parts and kept needing to go back to see who was who. This is a translated book, right? There might something loss in the translation, too.

Spoilers for Chapter 1:

I understood about her mom being involved with something fishy. Something to do with Ukrainian hair? Unless that's code for something else. Maybe she had something else delivered with the hair. I don't know  I'm also curious about this Lambert guy and his involvement with Anita. Yes, I think as the story unfolds, we'll learn better...hopefully! :)

When Norma sort of relives the last moments of her mother's death at the train station, it made me feel sad. I feel like that's something that I would do to try to understand better.

Norma's hair is also very interesting. I would love to know more what triggers a reaction from her hair and why.

Yes, this is a translated book.

I also gathered her mother was involved with something fishy and I suspect she was murdered by Lambert's men. I also think more than hair is involved. Whatever it is, it isn't legal for sure.

The scene at the the train station was very touching.

I didn't have time to read more the other day, but plan to do so today. :)

I also was a little lost at first, and I was afraid I would be disappointed with the mystery. (So far, so good!)

The scene in the underground was indeed hard to read.

I was actually able to get quite a bit read and broke 100 pages! :text-woo:

Spoilers up to (and including) chapter three

I am so caught up with Norma's hair and its connection to Eva.
I'm a bit upset with her mother (who would do that?!), but curious about her and Marion's relationship. I'm also very curious about Helena.

Well done! I will try to catch up today. :)

Eva? Who is she? I either missed that or I didn't reach that part.

Yes, I wonder too about her and Marion's relationship. I understand Helena was Norma's mom best friend. I wonder what is wrong with her. I guess we will find out!
