Through this book, I have learned that the diversity of people cannot affect relationship development between them. It can be used as a lesson to kids that no matter the colour, people will always be the same.

I think it will have an influence. Kids are much more perceptive than I think adults often give them credit for. Maybe they won't finish the book and think "I can have diverse friends," but it will worm its way into their heads and support the idea that all kinds of friends are good.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

If I’m honest I’m not entirely convinced many children would notice, but if they do then there is no problem- it is a positive message after all! As adults, it is something we notice so hopefully some kids would too.

That is so true. To me the point is to teach children, no matter how young they may be, the beauty of social inclusion. Another subtle lesson in this book.

I think all children should be taught that their friends don't have to be the same gender or race as them to be good friends. They don't even to have to live in the same town or go to the same school to be friends these days.

I do think it's incredibly important for young audiences to see themselves represented on books, movies, tv shows and etc. I think it's great and very subtle what the author did! Great job.

Diversity is made by variety of things of any kind. So the diversity of friends belonging to the different gender, race, age, ethnicity and culture all contribute to make a diversity of friends for Toni to play and enjoy with them.

It has been proven many times how important it is for children to find themselves represented in media. Without it, they can develop a sense of hopelessness about their future. Simple books like Toni the Superhero allow for children to glimpse themselves in a story. They feel a sense of belonging, which is important for social development. I am so glad there are books like this out for young children.

Yes, the book clearly adreesws the theme of diversity. Toni the superhero is black. There are white characters in the story as well and as such it would be appealing to both blacks and white kids.

The book proffers identity to children of all races. There are black and white characters therein. That enhances diversity.

I would love to see this become a more wide-reaching trend precisely because children are unaware of prejudice. The more we normalize equality, the better off the next generation will be.

Any book which shows children of different ethnicities playing together is valuable in moulding children's perspectives toward being inclusive of others who appear different to them, and reinforcing that we are all human and should all be treated the same.

Racial discrimination is still a problem on the world today. Blacks pitted against whites and vice versa. The book thus helps adress this problem and highlights possibility of peaceful coexistence among different races in the society.

I think the books diversity advocates for the peaceful coexistence of children of all races. The world will be a better place if children are taught about diversity from an easy age.

Diversity is a broad term. It ranges from religious, ethnic and racial diversity. I'm fully convinced this book contributed towards addressing racial diversity.
