Is this book good to be adopted in to a film?

I think this could definitely be a movie, but it's risky considering how often those adaptations go south. If it was done by the right people who aimed to get the right messages across, I think it could be a really interesting film though!

The story line of this book is amazing and because of that it would make a great movie! Also if it were turned into a movie then more people would hear about the book and read it!

The format would be an easier transition to television. There may not be enough material in this novel alone, but flashbacks in movies don't tend to work well.

As is, no way. On screen this book would come out as hyper-emotional which turns the drama and suspense into silliness. In order to adapt to film, this story would need to be cleaned up a lot. Angela needs to be able to express her reactions in more than one way to avoid redundancy and some of the dialogue needs to be adjusted to sound more natural. I’m cringing every time I see the word “baby”. It feels so out of place.

I think a good screenwriter could fix the things we've all been griping about in these forums. Overall, there seems to be a lot about this book that was enjoyed by readers. If someone could just work out the kinks, I think it would be a pretty exciting film.

The diverse scenarios potentially capable of being exploited for this film are very promising. Just imagining that the story will have to be filmed partly at a World War II setting, then at the Renaissance Period, then back to the present, we could not help but think how thrilling this film would be. Presumably, the time jumps would lend to considerable varieties of interest, making the film anything but boring. And the characters are all interesting studies of human personalities.

Yes ,I completely agree the book has all the elements for a great movie and let's not forget the fact that one of the finest movies are based on books ...say Harry potter??

I think this could be a great film, but only with a great director. It's such a shame when good books get made into awful movies, it really ruins the reputation of the story. I'd love to see this as a movie if it were done well!

I don't see any reason why the book should not be adopted into a video provided there is no derogation from its content and characterization.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but in this case, I think a movie has the potential to be better than the book. It'd be interesting to see the different time periods, and if it was well done, there's a higher possibility of drawing in a large audience due to the various themes in the book.

Im currently reading this and have been actually contemplating this very question myself. I wonder if they could do the book Justice if they made it into a movie. As we all know most movies don't do the books Justice but I would sure like to see someone try!

I think this book would do well in the film industry. The flashbacks, in particular, would make for a good movie. I think they would want to be careful in comparing it to the Da Vinci Code. While there are some similarities, I find the books stand alone on their own and should not be confused as sequels or such. I am always excited to see a book I read become a film. Often times I am disappointed in the film version, but that is what separates book lovers from the rest of the world.

I agree. I think this book is good, but it had a lot of room for improvement. Adopting it into a film would give the opportunity to make those improvements. I think it needs a little more class
