I am not sure I have ever read a book that involved art/history. I think this could be a very interesting read for many reasons but I think I will also be able to learn some new things - an added bonus!

My overall view of "The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci" by Belle Ami, is a mixed feeling. My expectation was that of an exploration of some interesting events during Da Vinci's time, rather than people looking for a missing painting by Da Vinci - if it really was by Da Vinci. Having said that, the mysteries and intrigues of how the painting disappeared, and how it gets to be found eventually, makes a good read for mystery and thriller. It also has a romantic twist, for those who enjoy romance. I would recommend the book to those who love 17th and 18th century setting novels. I would however caution lovers of history, that it merely scratches on the surface of historical events, focusing instead on the plot of the story.

I haven't read this one yet, but I've seen a lot of comments on it. It definitely looks interesting and I like the idea of using time as an element in the storytelling. I'm gonna put it on my book reading list.

Overall, I liked this book. I thought the romance was a bit rushed but I suppose if they were reincarnations of past lovers, they were meant to be quickly drawn to one another. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance novels.

I enjoyed the theme of romance in the book. It would be a good read for young adults.

I read this book and found it kind of OK, OK. I liked the smooth flow of the story which makes it an easy-read and could be read at bed-time before sleep like a daily chore. You can finish reading it in just one go or maximum 2-3 nights. Though since it has been titled as a thriller it should have more suspense to make you feel on-the-edge. It has a lot of romantic instances of the couple who are the lead characters with very sensual descriptions. If you like more of romance and a bit of thriller, then go for it.... :) :)

I was enthralled by the discussion on art and romance. This could be a great addition to young adults.

I have been obsessed with da Vinci ever since High School so anything that mentions him is right up my ally. This book was an interesting take on his life and art.

I enjoyed the themes of artistry and romance. On the contrary, I think the numerous sex scenes were at times unpleasant.

I was disappointed because this book was listed as a crime or thriller but was actually a romance. I did like the theme of art history though.

I really enjoyed the storyline. It was very romantic, historical and mysterious. I especially loved the Twist in the Story, making the Book even better. The Idea of the past Lives was pretty good, maybe a little far fetched but I enjoyed it. Romance and Historical Novels are my Kryptonite, so I really loved this part about the book. I am personally not a big Art Fan, therefore this book will not be my favorite, but in the End definitely a good read :D

I enjoyed the romance and love stories as portrayed in the book even though there was excessive indulgence in sex at times.

I definitely agree. I am also not a Big Fan of excessive Enjoyment in Sex portrayed in Books, as it takes away the Focus from the actual Love Story sometimes.- but it just shows that there are people who do enjoy it.

I just started reading this book, and while I find some of the writing to be a tad juvenile, I am really enjoying it. I love a book that can combine several genres and I believe the author, thus far, is succesfully doing just that.
