I don't like the cover page picture

I agree that the cover was not something that drew me into this book. The redone cover was a little bit better but I was still not interested in reading this book. I am glad that I was not the only one to find this cover issue a problem. Thank you for your post!

As often as we're told not to judge a book by its cover, I'm still guilty of doing so from time to time. Having said that, while I agree that this book cover is not enticing, it also wouldn't stop me from reading the book.

I don't think much thought was put into designing the cover (which is one of the most important aspects of selling a book.) I think the designer didn't bother reading the book to come up with a better cover.

I thought the cover picture had a bit of a "shock value". And that can turn both ways- it can put you off or interest you enough to pick up the book and read!! In my case, it got me curious

The ols saying "dont judge a book by its cover" it sounds like it definitly applys here. As ive heard great reviews from the book from many...however im guilty as well which to me tells authors to be careful whom they choose to illistrate their covers.

Yeah, I'm not huge on the cover, either. At first glance I thought it was a neo-Nazi book; I didn't see the sword.

The cover suggests that you will be in for a freak show. But if you have seen other freaky achievements of other people, say, being hung on hooks, or swallowing multiple blades at one time, this cover depiction of Luke would look sort of "tame" by fakir standards.

I don't have any problem with the cover though. Since It's just a cover right? The important thing is that what's inside. The story is great and the cover is just a cover. We can only allow ourselves to attest or judge the cover when the book itself is not relevant to the tittle and the story behind. Just saying.

I think we are all mostky in agreement here. The cover of the story was very unipmressive which is more reason why I never read the story to completion. The cover picture did not attract me at all.

I was not a fan of the cover either. It is unfortunate, since often times a cover will determine whether someone reads a book or not, but this one simply isn’t grabbing and nor does it entice a reader once they’ve looked at it. Aesthetically pleasing covers are important.

I will give it this much, though. The cover is quite realistic.

The cover actually creeps me out so much, it would determine me from reading. It seems freaky and causes me to think about a bunch of painful thigs, like people cutting the inside of her throats with it. I can only imagine that the author specifically used the image to portray what he wants to reader to understand prior to reading this book.

I like the cover - the new one, that is - it's effective with a central figure. I love tattoos. My child has seen it and was attracted by the image, though naturally, I told him that the book is not suitable for children.

I actually had the opposite reaction. I was drawn to the cover because it seemed like it was already telling me a story. Maybe a little edge-y. But, I've heard great things!
