I think it should be read by teens and parents, it should serve as a guidance to teens against excessive alcohol and parents in proper parenting

Due to sensitive issues, I think it best to recommend this to 18-year-olds and up.

I think anyone who wants to read it should! It’s important to remember that everyone reacts differently to different themes. I’ve met elementary age kids who totally understand extremely mature ideas, and I’ve met adults who refuse to even think about the same things. In general, I would call this a YA book, intended for teens, but I wouldn’t try to deter anyone from reading it.

I think a mature mind is needed to read this book. As a parent, if you are going to allow your teenager to read this book, be ready to discuss it with them. They shouldn't have to deal with the effects that this book is bound to have, all by themselves. Allow them to ask questions, otherwise don't let them read this. I would recommend it to young adults; 20 and above.

Thank you all for the age recommendations. I was thinking about reading Ironbark Hill but decided not to because I am only 13 years old. Not quite the average aged teenager.

Teens and up should be able to read it. Especially, if the teen wants to read it and can handle it.

In today's society, I recommend this book to ages thirteen years old and up and as young as under to read along with a responsible adult.

I'd say 16 upwards
