I was thinking 16 and older too, but I suppose it depends on the individual. Some teens might be ready for it earlier.

I agree, and it definitely cannot be read in all contexts but around those ages is fairly appropriate.

Because of the subject matter that is discussed, I would say this book is for young adults and up.

From 18 years of age would be appropriate as well as parents.

I think this would be appropriate for an older YA audience, because it gives teenagers a chance to experience these serious topics through a novel rather than real life.

I think this shouldn't be read until you are about 15 years old! That is when the issues raised in this book start to become apparent.

I would recommend this book to teens since they will learn their roles in the family.

I think that teens will find this book appropriate since they are the most likely to encounter challenges that Natalie is encountering in this story.

I think this book is suitable for young adults and/or teenager 15+. It's kind of difficult to determined the proper age group, because the main character is a teenager, but the story required reader's discretion due to abusive scene. Perhaps for early teenager (under 15) required parental guidance or supervision in order to read this book.

It depends. Girls mature into adolescence earlier than boys. On the other hand, this is not a book written for sexual coaching. This is fiction and the impact it does depends on the sexual knowledge of the reader. Books are not like movies, they require the reader to imagine what is going on and reports the characters' thoughts and feelings, which, movies don't. A too young reader might be puzzled because he/she has no experience about the events described in the book. But in the meantime, when sexual emotions develop, he/she might get into understanding them.

I'll recommend this book to teenagers and young adults, basically because they would find it quite easy to sideline themselves with Natalie's woes and successes.

Because of the mature subject matter, I would recommend the book for high school students or adults.

I think you're right - this is definitely for the more mature teens and young adults. With teens, it would be good to ensure they are able to discuss the themes with someone mature either while they are reading the book or afterwards.

I couldn't imagine anyone younger than teens reading this book. I would even say 15 or older.

I feel like I would give it a PG-13 rating as there was sexual content and violence but I think teenagers should be able to handle it.
