I think that this is a good book for anyone who has intended goals for their lives and I like that it's set around a past era.

I have read many different reviews about this book, both good and bad and I must say that I have not yet read the book but I would like to before picking a side. I know that the main character in the book is a strong young woman and I like books with a strong female character. All the reviews on this book were good and I can't wait to read it for myself.

I liked the book, but I felt like the first half was rather slow-moving. I was glad when the pace picked up later in the book. I think my favorite thing about it is that the characters are very three-dimensional and realistic. All of the characters in this book had good qualities and bad. Even the abusive Alex received some pity from me as I learned more of his story.

I read this book and I enjoyed it very much. The MC was relatable to me because of her strong will and how much she loved her family. She put her siblings first and played the role of protector. I did not care for how the story ended, but that is only because it is not how I would have ended my story, if I were her. I would recommend this book.

A tough story of a teenager who's willing to sacrifice a lot for the sake of her family when her mother lacks the responsibility to do so. Definitely sounds like a heart-wrenching story line that may or may not make me cry, so I'll have to check it out.

The story of a strong girl taking responsibility at quite young age is very motivating and intriguing. She can be a good motivation source for other youngsters aound who may have different circumstances but still they can take an inspirtation from the book.

I kept getting too distracted during this book. The extraneous details took me out of the novel. The characterization was compelling, but for me, the negatives outweighed the positives in this book.

The book is notable for its feature of a young female protagonist, an aspect from which many books could benefit.

Natalie seems like a strong-willed young woman who feels a great responsibility to her family. I like the message in this book that a person sets the limitations in their own life.
