Yes, I equally propose that they should be used as the last resort.holsam_87 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2018, 17:53 Guns shouldn't be the only answer for protection, mainly because not everyone with access to the guns in a household will know how to use them. There are other ways to handle attacks, you just need to have the innovation and thought process to look for an alternative that won't end in a death. If you have exhausted all other options, then using a gun is the only way to go and that would only be for someone that knows how to use the gun in question.

I think that guns are inherently dangerous. They have no other purpose besides to hurt/kill things. Having a gun around can be scary because, even if it belongs to you, someone who wants to hurt you could get a hold of it and use it on you!
I have a hard time justifying the use of guns for almost anything. They are literal killing machines.

In everyday life, I don't think they are generally necessary. I think they help to give some people a sense of security. They also fall into the wrong hands daily, resulting in murders. Gun control is a tricky and controversial subject, and I can see both sides of the picture, and am still trying to figure out exactly where I fall on the spectrum of gun-beliefs.
