I think The Reel Sisters would make a great feature film.

It has strong characters, and a great plot for any selected director and cast to get their teeth into. It would be very interesting to see how a director would interpret it for the screen.

It has all the necessary potential for a heartwarming film. It could bring the audience to tears at times, while also making them laugh at others. There will be plenty of very relaxing scenes on the water, but also some “on the edge of their seats” moments too.

The fly fishing trips would be filmed in wonderfully scenic locations. So, I also feel it could be a visually beautiful film which would inspire great cinematography and probably a rousing musical score to accompany it all.

If done well it could be a joy to watch.

Obviously, it would. But they going to have to make some modifications on the cast

I like Priscilla Shirer but I don't think this is her type of movie if the book were to be made into one.

I think it would make a great 'chick flick with a twist.' One of the twists is the male-dominated sport of fly fishing.
Possible cast:
Sophie-Sandra Bullock
Rose-Goldie Hawn
Veronica-Halle Berry
Amanda-
Melody-

I'm not sure who I would pick for the younger 'girls.'
I think it could make a good movie though I am not sure who would make great fits for the cast. Goldie Hawn and Sandra Bullock sound fine. I can't really picture Halle Berry in the role for Veronica but I am sure that she has great skills to do the job.

I know what you mean. She definitely has her priorities, but you never know what divine-order opportunities lie ahead. I bet she was surprised to be acting in War Room!

This was such a great book! It was so uplifting to read about how these woman’s friendships blossomed through fly fishing. I would absolutely love to see this as a movie. After reading the book, seeing the characters come to life seems like a really great idea to me

I think it could be an interesting slice of life movie since we don't have a lot of action, but the development of the relationship of the girls would be very interesting to see.

Although I did not enjoy reading this book whatsoever, I could easily see it as a perfect movie or tv series. Women of different ages with their own families get together every now and then to go fly fishing. I actually think its unique story idea would work better in a tv series because the book is centred around each lady's individual lives. The idea that I'm getting at is the hit tv series Working Moms . I can perfectly picture this same idea adapted into a story about fly fishing women. I think the female characters, although in my opinion, poorly executed in the novel, could be added on and enhanced in a tv series and could be very entertaining. The drama and comedy of a show like that would be an absolute hit.

I think it could be made into a classic movie! For Amanda I would choose Amanda seyfreid or Emma stone maybe. No idea for Melody :)

I think it would make a great movie, though more work will need to be put into it.

It could be an excellent movie, but I am pretty sure the producers would change a lot of things, and that would not be fun.

Definitely, it will make a good movie. But, I don't know if it would become a hit at the box office. Maybe some changes can be put into the movie and make it look great.

I can definitely see this as a movie, particularly because much of the story revolved around fly fishing in a river. I can clearly picture how well this would work on screen.
