I agree that their friendship was more realistic compared to the other Reel Sisters.

Well, though I have met close friends at random places. But still, I don't think random settings have anything to do. Yes, just as you stated, a lot of them close friendships in the started off from meeting at random places. I don't think that there's anything unrealistic about it

Sophie and Veronica met on a plane. As random as that was it was very realistic. However, Sophie and Rose meeting in the shop and keeping the friendship was something. At least it was a good story.

I think that the friendships seemed pretty realistic since it's common to make friends with people faster when they were the ones that changed your perspectives or saved your life, for example.

I think it was natural for Sophie to invite Veronica fly fishing, because when you love doing something you want everyone else to try it. I wouldn't say Melody became 'instant friends' with the rest of them. She still feels awkward and reserved, and is closest to Rose. She trusts them though, but they did save her life.

The friendship that was weird is Melody's to the rest of the ladies. She came into their lives and fit in perfectly despite being so different from the rest.

I think Rose and Sophie's friendship captured some element of reality. I could relate to because I met a friend that same way some years back.

The world would be more fun if everyone would be open to accepting relationships. I enjoyed how Sophie and Veronica met it was so real and I was glad they got along.

I must say the friendship that seemed real to me was that of Rose and Sophie. What bounded them together was the natural love for what one enjoys most

i can agree to finding the instant part a little weird, but it can happen. The characters were described to be friendly and hospitable, and this is the kind of people that might make instant friendships.

I don't actually like the way the main character met others in this book it was so fast. Well I believe that friends one find at random may be the best

Yes the characters do become friends in rather random ways but i think that again is suggestive of how life is . Events in life are always random and predictable and therein lies its beauty.
