I related the most to Melody. She is closer to me age wise, and her artistic background was very similar to what I experienced growing up. Personality wise though, I think Sophie would be a good match for me as well.

I guess like Sophie to some extent and like Melody because of being independent and a bit of talented loner person
Reading gives us somewhere to go when we have to stay where we are

I can relate to Melody. She doesn't seem peoples person, but she is. I liked when she helped Veronica's husband with the piano.

I probably related to Sophie the most. Especially her love life. I admired her tenacity and her spirit as well.

Melody, kind of lost, and then found. A beautiful story about a beautiful person that finds friendship and love deep in the woods!!!

I related most to Veronica as someone who also wants to make a path in the Business world. As well, the question of having children is a big debate for me, as with Veronica and Thatcher.
Do you ever feel like you spend too much time reading? Yeah. Me neither.

I related to Melody. It's not just because she's the closest to my age. Doing your own thing, having this not exactly rebellious but kind of outside-the-box character seems to resonate with me. Also, doing brow-raising stuff I might feel embarrassed about later more or less fits the bill.

I relate to Sophie more considering I have this great tendency to look out for people in genuine distress than myself.

I can relate to Sophia the most, as I tend to take care off everyone at home and take charge of situations around me. I relate even with her love life.

I related more to Sophie. How she behaves tough but yearns for love on the inside. I love how she was able to eatablish herself and still didn't lose connection with her roots. She's headstrong but not to the extent of being unable to admit her wrongs.

Miriam Molina wrote: 21 Feb 2018, 17:02 Now that you ask, I think the author meant for the readers (women especially) to find themselves in all the five girls. They are in different stages in their lives. They have all experienced loss. They all emerge from the storm as different from before.

Regarding Melody, not that I have any tats or body piercings, but I too sometimes need to get away to find myself. I'm still looking, lol.
speaking of Melody's piercings, some of her piercings felt pretty painful to me. It was funny having this feeling

I like Rose the most. I always enjoy talking to baby boomers. They have this gentleness in their aura that draws me to them.
Happy reading,
Gelli xoxo

Melody. Before meeting the other girls she used to be conserved and did everything indoors, that's where I relate to her.

Sophie. She was single. She was not in a relationship. She had friends who were trying to convince her to give love another chance.
