Well, to be honest, I did - at one point - feel that the book was fiction and romance, considering that the title mentioned meeting someone called Margaret. But, boy, was I wrong! Haha. Yes. the title is a bit misleading if you think of it that way.

I dont think it was misleading. I like titles that arent so obvious, especially for this kind of story.

Contrary to what several people said, I didn't think "ah, romance novel" at all. It actually seemed appropriate to name the book after one of the unintentional gurus. Perhaps he should have named it after one of the other people he met. But if Margaret really was his turning point, then maybe he should have made that chapter better rather than name it for a different guru that didn't affect him as much.

I think the title is appropriate for what the author wanted to convey. what cause me concern was that he met her half way through the book, not at the end, so it's misleading form that point of view.

Perhaps if he added "then life got better!" it would fit the books contents better.

I think sometimes a misleading title helps the author. People who wouldn't generally pick up a non fiction book might if they thought it wasn't.

I feel like it does not really matter in the long run. Readers are constantly reminded to never "judge a book by its cover", or in this case title. I would argue that the summary is more of a hit or miss. That's what tells you exactly what to expect from that certain book. Titles can be misleading and usually designed to reel the readers in.

It did mislead actually. Imagine my surprise when the book turned out to be a collection of stories and not centered on one character. I thought he was going to give an exposé on how he met the love of his life or something.

I haven't read the book, but judging by the comments, the book title seems to be of concern. As a book of self journey, Margaret sounds like she may have been "the straw that broke the camel's back". That one defining moment that can turn a person's direction in a whole new way. The comments here alone do make me want to pick up the book.

The title depicts the book as romantic, but from the reviews its obvious that the title is misleading. Since I've not read it, I don't think I'll consider reading it. Hope the others enjoy it.

Very good question. The title of this book does not really tell the story of the book. Yes, she changed him, but then he met more interesting and more inspiring people apart from her. So yes, the didn't go well with the book.

I haven't read the book yet, but I too thought this would be a romance novel, which I'm not a fan of, based on the title. After reading reviews, I think I would really like this book, and I'm glad I looked at the reviews.

I haven't read this yet - although I really feel like I should, given that every reviewer seems to have given it a rating of 4 stars! - but it sounds as though Margaret ties all the feelings and learnings together, no? Is that not how it happens?

Definitely intrigued about this book!

I haven't read the book, but I have read the description of it, and based on that alone, yeah, the title does sound more like a romance novel. Those of you who have read it, if you could rename the book, what title would you give it? I'm just curious.

Sure it is. The first time I saw the book I thought it was a romantic
text. It turned out to be a self help book. Although Margaret made him realise that he was self-centered the book could have gotten a better title.
