I thought they had a relationship that developed naturally throughout the book. Hopefully, their relationship will develop throughout the series.

I have no problem with the two falling in love. But I think it was not necessary in the first book. The falling seemed rushed considering the fact that there was so much other high-level action going on.

Yes, that relationship was clearly signposted. In fiction, I guess romance is only engaging if the lovers encounter some obstacle. Otherwise, it's not that interesting IMO. I haven't felt much of an emotional reaction to their relationship so far.

Harry and Hermione weren't love interests. At least not in the books, I've not seen the movies.

Indeed not, and the films didn't depart from the books to that extent! I did once see a spoof version (Barry Trotter) where Barry and Ermine got together.

So this would be more of a Harry Potter copy if Heat and Neutron got together!

Their connection is one you see coming so it feels organic. I think their love is going to be tested a lot though- hope they make it!

This is cute :) My mind doesn't think that way, but I am always entertained when someone else's does!

There is a necessity for Heat and Brimstone to feel for each other. Earlier in the book, the writer has hinted for sure when the two had gazed at each other with stardust in their eyes. And there is some exclusiveness in the dealings of the two. To whom should they turn to, when no other character is developed close enough to them for a romantic interaction. And with the two reinforcing each other, they could cover much wider grounds, so to speak.

I feel the bond they have is a lasting one. If Brimstone produces heat, then Heat must be inside the Brimstone!

Where did you guys come up with the idea that Brimstone and Heat were in a relationship other then being friends. I read the book twice and I don't see it. Can any of you point to chapter and line?

Thanks

I am happy they 'found' each other, even though it was entirely PG. Their bond was great from the beginning. It was bound to happen.

It never came as a surprise to me that a romantic bond happened between them. I was actually rooting for it at the beginning even though it may seem that they'll be facing a lot of problems together.

I loved that the author allowed two of the strongest characters to find interest in one another. Brimstone definitely dropped hints early on with helpful character towards Heat. I was rooting for these to find romance the whole time and was really pleased when they did. It definitely will not be an easy romance to hold on to, but I can't help but feel excited and eager to see how their romance progresses.

I agree with this—this isn’t my favorite genre, but adding a little romance to it will increase my interest :)
