I definitely have, and can’t wait for the second book!
That's too bad. The writer fired his Editor. lol
Seriously? Why was the editor fired?

You know how much I hate cliffhangers? A lot. But, yes, I understand why they did it. They just wanted to make sure that we stayed hooked on to the series.

I felt like there book was a bit rushed to end. Therefore, I think it would be great if it's sequential is released.

It will make the second book just that much more appealing. However, if there is no sequel and a book ends on a cliffhanger, my whole opinion of the book lessens, no matter how good it was.
John Fowles's French Lieutenant's Woman has four different endings - open ending, typical Victorian realist one, etc. What I am trying to say is that cliffhangers have their charm too as long as they are in line with the author's style and overall intentions. Besides, you don't always get the answers you ask for in life either.

While I'm not a fan of cliff-hanger endings, I do understand why the author has done it and it's definitely worked with me as I'll be reading the sequel as well. However, I have to say that in the past I've avoided reading a book if I know it's part of a series until the series was completed because I couldn't stand waiting, say, a year to find out what happened next.

Exactly. I really do not love to wait too.

Leaving loose ends is what helps an author to write a series because it stimulates curiosity.

The author's use of a cliffhanger is actually a smart idea; am craving the sequel already.
