I definitely don’t think she thought things through. I agree that was not the place and time.

This is very true. It was far too early for her to be that comfortably planted in his life. If it was something that bothered her, having a conversation with him in private would have been acceptable, although Marty would have likely still been uncomfortable with the topic.Christina O Phillips wrote: ↑02 Dec 2017, 13:17 I feel like a lot of aspects of this book were rushed, including how Jennifer treated her relationship with Marty. To me, it felt like they went out a few times and then she assumed they were in a serious enough relationship to force him to make things right with his ex. So yes, I think she crossed a line.

This is my opinion too. She should have attempted to reach out to both of them first. The reaction could have been very different.

Yeah, her heart was in the right place and playing mediator isn't necessarily crossing a line, but she should have gotten consent from both parties before doing so. As it was, it wasn't the time to do this in front of Marty's ex's partner or their children, and it definitely wasn't Jennifer's place to spring it on Marty without warning.Vivian Paschal wrote: ↑07 Feb 2018, 11:55This is my opinion too.
