I feel that this so frequently happens in books and it is infuriating!Gingerbo0ks wrote: ↑05 Nov 2017, 05:35Were they written like a what a woman actually wants? Or what a male author thinks women want?

My theory about this book is that he had a collection of drafts on different subjects. One was travel writing, one was erotica and one was science fiction material about time travel. Then he put them all together into one book.

This comment has made me reconsider all books that have heavy sex scenes. I will definitely keep this in mind when I read other booksGingerbo0ks wrote: ↑05 Nov 2017, 05:35Were they written like a what a woman actually wants? Or what a male author thinks women want?
I'm undecided when it comes to the sex scenes. Half of me thinks that if this was a purely contemporary romance novel the scenes would have been suitable. The other half thinks the sex scenes should be completely kicked out, save for maybe one or two, and the plot left to focus on the heavy issues
