I agree with this completely. The book had a lot of promise, it just never quite delivered once the focus shifted solely to Jennifer.Christina O Phillips wrote: ↑02 Dec 2017, 13:15 I do not mind sex scenes when I read, but this book started with such promise. I really wanted to know more about the Syndos and the Naturals! Then I was like, okay, let's follow Jennifer. It was a good story when she survived on the island and I was wondering how she'd blend in and if her amnesia lie would work, but once she got to Hawaii the novel felt more like erotic fiction than science fiction except for a few conversations. I was very disappointed. The sex scenes did not really help the plot along, they just took the focus from what could have been a good story.

I totally agree with you, Brandi Noelle. The explicit scenes in this book are unnecessarily so much that they eclipsed even its sci-fi angle. Yes, "purposeless" is the word!Brandi Noelle wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 01:15 Far too many sex scenes that did nothing to further the plot, other than make the heroine look trashy. It started to read a bit like a porn film...girl relaxing at home, pizza guy arrives, they have sex. That was how purposeless some of the scenes felt.
