Did you feel like it is a story of a sex-hungry woman

Post by BoyLazy »

Do you think the main story was sidelined as the sex scenes were too many to count?

Maybe, just maybe, the woman here depicted as sort of a libertarian is such that it will complement her boldness. You may also be right in that the sex scenes are given much attention to almost have dominance. I just speculate how would it be had the heroine here been like Zena, Wonder Woman or Super Girl in her sexuality?

Yes, without a doubt, the sex scenes were a major distraction from the main plot.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Yes, I thought the author wrote too many sex scenes. It felt gratuitous. I also think these scenes detracted from the scientific main plot of the book. I believe he may have put so many to make the book fun because he was discussing heavy science themes.

Were they written like a what a woman actually wants? Or what a male author thinks women want?

Was it fun? Not many liked those parts I think.

Ha ha. Great point. A man's perception of a woman's needs can be very different.

The second half of the book definitely does. It's sad the strong, courageous and intelligent leading lady at the beginning of the book was transformed into a birch.

Yes, precautions for minors. It has a nude picture that is not good for all ages. I don't like this part because it is too sensitive.

I did not think of it in that way for minors. Good point.

Yes I also feel that there were two many sex scenes in the book that at times they become too much and I forgot what the main story was besides the sex.
What is the most special thing I did today- I was MYSELF. Happy and in love and unapologetically myself.

I wonder what the reason behind these many scenes..was that really required?

I would have liked it if it had lesser adult scenes. I liked the lead character in the first half. In second half I lost interest.
