That needs more detailing..
I'm just saying that the plot needs clear definition and direction to make it as a film. The author kind of focuses on everything equally - i.e. Jennifer's relationship with Marty, her schooling, her new family ties, etc. No one idea stands out more than any other. In a film, something would have to clearly be the basis of the plot line, with everything else just falling into the background.

Also, successful science fiction films have incredible battle scenes, which this book lacks. That could have been fixed if Jennifer hadn't abandoned her team so early.
Great observation.

I think that if this novel were to become a film it would have to be edited down, but I think that it would be a great feature. I definitely agree with the first poster who said that it could be a sci-fi series on platforms like Hulu or Amazon. I think that with the success of the Handmaiden's Tale the sex scenes would not be as big of an issue compared to a movie. If it were a movie, it would be rated R.

I think it would be great as a movie, minus the sex scenes. I think the plot is fine as it is the foundation for the next 2 books.

It's for for a sci-fi movie. I'll actually want to see that instead, than reading the book. Somehow, with a movie, we get to see the entire story on a while new and clearer picture.

I think it would make a good film if the right actors take up the roles and also if the explicit scenes are censored enough to allow a wider range of viewers.

I think it will work as a sci-fi movie or TV series. I'm not too sure which actors would be good to play the characters though.

I think it will. Overall it is a great book that can be turned into a good movie

The book would need sufficient changes before it actually becomes a movie. It has too many sex scenes and making a movies straight out of the book would not be much suitable.

I think that it could work. I agree that it would probably be best on Netflix or Hulu.

It could work, but with toned down sex scenes.

Maybe wait for the sequel and then make a movie combining both books..

By cover, it looks so that it can work as a film. But by the story, I am in confusion
