I overall loved the book and I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars. I loved how the advanced science technology homology is explained in the book.

i think the author tried to be as modest as they could on the sexual scenes despite what others think. Some people like myself need to be brought back to reality when reading sci-fy books, especially such as this one, and I think this scenes did it for this book.

I’m glad the scenes were useful in your reading of the novel. I just didn’t think they helped the plot in any way, and seemed very out of place.

I liked the sci-fi part of the book, but hated the second part.

I would have enjoyed more of the science fiction, and am hoping the next book incorporates more of it.

This book could have been much better. Thanks to my brother, I'm familiar with science fiction. Time travel stories are very intriguing. Look at all the recent TV shows with that theme. Most of us have wished to engage in it ourselves. But we also know the potential pitfalls.

Another theme is assuming someone else's identity. I was reminded of Louis L'Amour's short story Riding with the Brand. It told of a man coming across victims of an ambush. Some letters reveal that one victim had inherited a ranch. So he took his identity to claim the ranch. Ironically, L'Amour originally published the story under the name of Jim Mayo. It was also one of several stories published in unauthorized collections. L'Amour's response was to offer the stories in his own collections.

How many amnesia victims remember their own names? Apparently her book learning wasn't affected. Just call her the Absentminded Graduate Student. Some notes about the exact science facts would have been nice.

My main beef was with all the sex scenes. They were too explicit and frequent. Hitchcock used to put his cameos in movies early. That way viewers wouldn't keep looking for them. We need a similar rule about potentially offensive material. It's hard to believe that Jennifer would encounter so many people willing to experiment. Perhaps this book could have used a believable conservative character. Some would disagree about Marty's ex-wife being a Christian. Spare the flames. Disagreeing about a lifestyle doesn't mean hating someone.

It'd been nice to have gotten some warning about those scenes. Maybe there was one that I missed. The book had some interesting moments. I even found the science parts fascinating. Note: science wasn't my best subject in school. Hopefully the next books recommended will be better. Out of five stars, I'll give this book two.

This book is more on mature sexuality than being a scifi/ fantasy. It also shows modern family relationships, which is quite a shock for me. Besides those, it was a good read.

I rated it 2/4 when I wrote my review. I agree with everyone about the painfully awkward sex scenes, which in my opinion were horribly written and also full of cringy stereotypes about bisexuality that would offend anyone reading it who is bi. I also felt like most the of the story ignored the science fiction elements, to the point where the story could be pretty much exactly the same if it was just someone who really was shipwrecked on a deserted island. The way the end was so rushed also annoyed me. Not my favorite.

I enjoyed the first part of the story and some of the relationships with the characters. But as it got to the sex scenes I felt like I was reading a soft core porn so I didn't end up finishing it. For some readers that can be an exciting aspect and that's fine, but for me it was just over the top and way to descriptive.

I couldn't even make it through the first 15 pages. I started skimming just to see if it got better. Unfortunately it didn't. And that's nothing to do with the sex scenes. 1 out of 4. Sorry

What i did not like most about this book was the sexual content in it. What i liked most was the ability by Jennifer to be in different centuries and impersonate another Jennifer.

I’m not a huge fan of futuristic novels, but I thought I’d give this one a try. I didn’t care for it all that much though. I’d probably give it a 2 out of 4 stars. I give it 2 stars because I think other people might like it, even though I didn’t.

Exactly. I have seen threesomes with two women and a man done in a way that isn't all about giving the man "something to brag about".
