Some people think about the age when it comes to trust. For instance, elders are more trustworthy because people think they've been through a lot. Teens tend to be not trusted especially during adolescent age when people think they explore and try to discover. Kids get trusted for their innocence but sometimes their imagination could also be doubted.

Maybe age had nothing to do. For example, Tom knew Sarah when she had the dream/vision probably that was the reason he did not believe her at first, later in the book he seems way more open-minded probably because he knows Sarah a lot better.

I believe age does matter because if you are baby or if you are 6 or 7 years old, at this point you don't know what or who to trust. So age does matter on whether you trust someone or not. Also trust comes along when you know someone well.

most of people don't think so. I think no matter what age you are if you can you can be trusted.

I beleive that younger people don´t have the expertise to gain trust among other people, but still it all depends on relationships and how the person was educated.

I think it depends more on the person receiving the story than it does on the age of the person telling it. Most people will only believe what they've experienced themselves, so for instance no matter how old you are, if the person you're talking to is not open to the belief in topics like ghosts or God or whatever it is you're telling them, then you'll never convince them of anything but what they can see with their own eyes.

I think age can affect trust, but there is something about a person who is wise beyond his years, or that sincere look in a person's eye, no matter their age. So, ultimately, no, I think trust is based on the person himself/herself rather than age.

I believe maturity should be taken over age. An immature 18 year old should not be trusted anymore than a mature 16 year old just because they are legally an adult.

I don't think it would make a difference because trust is built mainly on the experiences one has had in their life. Especially the environment and the kind of people one grows up with, it shapes their perspective to trust
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

I don’t necessarily think so. Maturity plus a large roll in trust. If Sarah had acted more respectful early on, I feel like the characters would have taken her more seriously. The little time she spent with them, she gave them no reason to trust her other than being a blood relation.

We have all met people of all ages that we note as being an ‘old soul’. I have trusted many people much younger than myself that have displayed having wisdom beyond their years.

I don't think age affects trust as much as life experience does. If you put your trust in people when you were young, and those people let you down you won't be very trusting. If, on the other hand, you had positive experiences when you trusted others you will continue to be trusting.
