I did find that I learned more about the Native Americans. The hardest part about that tale though was it dragged so long I had a hard time focusing on it so I wish it could have been shortened just a bit so that I felt I got to know even more about Native Americans in the past.

For me, my knowledge of the various ice ages is quite sketchy, so any information at all is more than I knew, so I enjoyed the discussion about that.

If there was something to be learned from the book it was how to adopt to present situations and move on with your life by accepting the reality

I learnt a lot! The existence of huge animals back in the day, the migration of people in North, tribal culture, weaponry, cultural aspects of Native people, modern issues and conspiracy.

Sarah's courageous nature. William's calm and composed nature and despite being physically weak he goes ahead with the trip- this indeed is an inspiration to many!

I learned that all the legends that are passed down from generation to generation can be validated or debated from the perspective of science and logic.

In life our actions depend on the situations. We never repeat our mistakes if put in the same situation.

I have learnt that I should be a good father and ready to take good care of my children not like the way Tom did to his daughter Becky. It shows he was a careless man who did not know his responsibility towards his daughter Becky

"short-face", this was amazing to learn. I actually have never heard of such a bear. The historical ages were also a fascinating thing to discover.

After reading the book, was there anything you learned that you didn't know before? Personally, I learned about the existence of a bear called, "Short -Face." That was a rather interesting tidbit of information.
Learning about the geography of the area in relationship to Alaska and the land bridge and the distances that would have to be traveled is what I found interesting. Also, the thrower for darts was a weapon that I was unfamiliar with.

I found the history to be interesting. I had no idea what an Atlatl was and to hear about the harsh conditions people once lived in made me appreciate what we have now! I can sit outside at night without worrying about being eaten by a giant bear or wolf or whatever!

I learnt some names and terminologies for the first time. Some are names of animals and places.

I learnt that native American legends are based on historical events passed down in oral tradition.
