I agree she should not have been so arrogant.Singer wrote:Sarah! Poor and abandoned with no one fully responsible of her. She attracted my sympathy. But to me, she was a bit manner less especially in her reaction of elders. He situation doesn't warrant her to be arrogant and just throw words to seniors. In fact, she should have humbled herself so as to win the trust of her caretakers.

If you mean she seems older, I agree. I'm sure that's because of all she's been through.fatemeh133 wrote:She grew on me, but from beginning to end, she does not remotely feel like a 12 year old.

She was very strong and capable. Those attributes came in handy on more than one occasion.Maulyne wrote:At the beginning I felt that she is a spoilt child. Later on with her she strong and capable of anything that comes her way.Iwas sympathetic to her aftrer learning she was an orphan.

I agree with you except, for some reason, I never grew to like her character.gordonwrites wrote:There was nothing to like about Sarah at the beginning of the book. You felt sorry for her predicament, and as the story unfolded you grew to like her.
