That would be interesting to read. Though I don't think William have another trip in him.

Tom and William could not survive in another trek considering their ages but Sarah could.
Sarah survived better after got missing for eight days because of her age aswel. She was too small and even if she entangled with harmful animals she could still survive as animals also regard children as spirits and not human beings

I believe anything is possible. I agree somewhat that if Tom was to make another trip, he may not make it out. I think if there was another trip was planned, William may not go on that trip. William seems to only go to support Tom, but if Tom knew it was his last trip, he may not want William there.

I felt that William and Tom were somewhere in their 60s, which made their trek surprising in the first place. I felt it helped her adapt easier and allowed her more creativity.

Oh! what do you think there ages are and I doubt that William could make another journey, instead of caring about age matter as that of Tom

I think Tom was goal oriented, and this gave him relieve and getting to Bob grave was of the utmost importance at that time and a great story

MaryBurris wrote: 02 Oct 2017, 00:18 Do you think that Tom and William would be able to survive another trek to Bob-Bob's grave?

And what about Sarah - do you think her age played a role in her survival when she went missing for those eight days in the wilderness?
As for Tom and William, I don't think so. They were already pushing it in this one, so another trek's idea seems far-fetched to me! For Sarah, it was more the strength of character rather than the age that played the role in her survival.

I do not think that William would be able to do another trip, Tom absolutely will try again. Sarah was capable of survive because she never gave up, and her age truly was a point in her favor.

With the way Tom and William were described in the story, another trek wouldn't be possible anymore. But in alternate reality, it could still be possible. As for Sarah's age, it could have been a factor but i don't think a young girl her age actually could survive something like that.

For Bob and Tom, they may never make it to go back but if they do, it is well and good. Yes, Sarah's age played a huge role. If she had been old, she may have never made to the destination given the many dangers that accompanied the journey.

There is no doubt that Tom and William could not embark on another trip from the way they suffered in the latest trip. But, for Sarah, she could even embark on several trips before she passes on.

Sarah's age was perfect but the others were fine too. I've met 80 year old men hiking the Appalachian Trail. The key is lighter gear, lighter packs and slower/fewer miles. The age worked well for the novel and would be fine for more adventures even as they continue to age.

I think Sarah was very resilient because of her age and her defiant attitude. The others were resilient because of their experience and smarts. They would have trouble doing it again, though.

Them being the main characters, made me to conclude that they would manage it, though after a big struggle.

I think if they want they both can trek again. About Sarah age i don’t think her age make her survive, its her determination and her will that make her survive.
