Of course, they could survive another trek into the wilderness if they went during the warmer months and had help carrying their supplies. They only had sore knees and backs!
We don't ever find out how Sarah survived for 8 days, but then we don't really know where she was at that time either. So it is impossible to say. :techie-studyingbrown:

I agree. William was in pretty bad shape, he seemed to be in quite a bit of pain.

Yeah if circumstances were better (like the weather) maybe they can survive a small trip.

I also thought one of the characters might die, especially on the second trip. Although now I wonder if Tom might die in the sequel, on a trek with Sarah, in the same way that Bob-bob died whilst on a trek with Tom.

I hope Tom don't die in the next book but if there was a third book, I think it would make a good end to the series.

I think Tom might be able to survive another trek but I am not so sure about William. I would love to see Tom and Sarah going there again. I also hope that they will be able to meet the short-face bear.

I'm sure the author has many more plots and surprises that he hasn't revealed to us yet.

I don't think Tom and William will survive another trek into the woods. Even the last trip was so tedious for them.

I don't think it is Sarah's age that made her survive when she was missing. I think she has a gift, a gift that made the impossible possible for her.

I was actually expecting something bad to happen to William during the second trip. I think the only reason Sarah made it through those eight days was due to her young age and stamina.

Her stamina probably played a huge part.

Walleye seemed quite shaken up by the journey and he might not have survived another hike. Tom though exhausted was quite driven to get to his grandfather's grave. Otherwise Tom might have suffered as much as William. Even though Sarah was quite exhausted and beaten from the journey since it was her first time she did gain alot of experience that would have enabled her to withstand another hike. As for Myra, being a young lady with experience in hiking another hike wouldn't have bothered her as much. As much as age affects if the characters can take another hike other factors like drive and circumstances would also affect if they can survive or not.
