It was an experience. Everybody learns from their own experiences. It made him more wise. He does not regret for it.

certainly yes,Myrah proved to cause much problems more especially when she was at the same age as of Sarah.
Sarah proved beyond Toms resoanable doubts that she is much wise than Myrah

Even though Becky was a handful, Tom should have been there for her more.

I agree. The story never gave much insight into Tom and Becky's relationship. But I think that Tom will try to take care of Sarah and see that she is not harmed by Fletcher Lynch.

A father should always take care of his family.

Tom really regretted his past with his daughter .
When Sarah landed into his hands, he was very worried as he did not wish to pass through exactly the way he did with his daughter and little did he know that Sarah was different

and Tom must have first hated Sarah in the first place because it is like the vision which he had for his daughter were coming back into reality for the second time

I don't really think he hated her. It probably just sometimes pained him to look at her.

well remember that upon seeing her ,the first thing that came into his mind was the way Myrah behaved in the first place ,she really gave him headache and as a result, Tom did not wish to repeat the very same thing with Sarah .

I don't think he's very good at showing his feelings. So, it's kinda hard to say just how deep his regrets are. Plus, he's stubborn to a fault, which keeps him from admitting when he is wrong. Unfortunately, this trait can keep those around him at a distance at times.

I think Tom really regretted not taking good care of his daughter, especially when he discovered all that her daughter went through in the hands of her step father, and then Sarah, his granddaughter, too.
