Nice point you have brought forward. Capacity to see beyond appearance is something I would love to developBasya wrote:Strong Heart and Sarah are both courageous, determined, and caring young women who have the capacity to see beyond external appearances.

That was the trust formed by the integrity of the young character.Athena Moon wrote:They are the same person. Nothing made me feel like Sarah would relive somebody else's story. It was her own journey long time ago.

I don't know why but I was only able to read them as separate people.Kat Berg wrote:I couldn't really read them as two different people. I think that it would have helped if the author had fleshed out the characters more before diving into the Sarah narrative. For me Strong Heart informed my impression of Sarah. It was her experience, whether vision, dream, or reality. But we do see glimpses of the Strong Heart part of Sarah, even from the very beginning. She is thrown into difficult circumstances in both parts of the story, but she is even more disadvantaged in the Ancient journey, and so the sass really can't come out. She didn't even know the language. But look at the names she gave everyone: Weeps a Lot and Weeps a Lot More, the snark is evident. Her character hasn't changed, just her context has.

you are quite right but in this case Sarah is just young who does not know anything concerning psychology . We are able to write something because we have encountered with strange faces before and we know exactly what it takes. As for Sarah she is a small child who needs much help from her parentsBoyLazy wrote:It's not strange faces who provide discomfort. It's often their attitude and behavior towards us that is the problem.jonaya wrote:Sarah is someone who has a strong heart.
She managed to overcome all sorts of psychological traumas as she was left alone with new faces for the first time without her real parents. She had all the capabilities to prove beyond their reasonable doubts that age is just nothing but a number. Meaning she was able to make her self comfortable in all angles of life.

The similarity between the two has to do with endurance and ability to overcome challenges.
