I have to agree with you on this one. Trust is always a really good theme as well. It brings a lot of depth and truth to a story.

there are various themes in the book as I got through it. some of them are bravery, courage and strength

I mainly saw the need to preserve an ancient culture, the legends and the wildlife that surrounds those legends. I also read about family and the links between the characters.

The theme of responsible parenthood. The parents of Sarah have made her to go through a lot in her life which is too much for her to bear.
