Being able to visit places that previously I only knew of through various media (books, TV, etc.). Learning how local cultures function at the ground level. Simply being able to remove yourself from your regular setting and immerse yourself in new experiences. Those would be the main things that I love about traveling, and that likely isn't exhaustive.

I love travelling a lot because it is a good opportunity for me to meet new people, visit ancient places and experience new cultures. It's a good way to relieve the mental exhaustion of the busy daily routine as well.

Travelling activates senses that are getting bored by the routine. New sights, new sounds, new smells, new tastes... it's a great way to break a routine. Immersing ourselves in a new culture shows how different yet similar people are.
