No, I am not afraid of water, neither do I know someone of my friends or acquaintances who is. But I know people around me who have phobia of heights, blood, etc.

Deep water does scare me because I can't swim. I also do not like bugs that live in the water or sand. It might be irrational, but the more legs and wings a bug has, the scarier it seems.

I'm afraid of large water bodies because I cannot swim. If I could, i'd probably get over it.

Totally agree with you. I'm not a huge fan either! Staying safe is a lot more important.

I love the way water looks when it is calm and when it is developing into a wave. All that said though, I still fear it. It can pull people under with ease, and deny breath to body. It is a powerful element that is equally beautiful.

I am not afraid of the water but my husband is. He does okay with lakes and smaller bodies of water, but he does not like being out on the sea.

I typically do not fear water but I do fear the unknown within the water - especially murky waters.

If water here is referring to the sea then the answer is yes. If not, I am not hydrophobic because outside masses of water, I like every other form of it.
