Of course, In Kafka on the shore one of the characters was remembering how the city needed just one bridge but every governor added a bridge just to be reelected and the city ended up with three bridges paid with tax money. This happens in Japan. Imagine what happens in the rest of the world.

Yes. This is also true for other countries. Simple problems become complicated because all the political leaders want to show how they address the problem which results to more problems.

Of course, corruption exists in many countries of the world. I think education, values, and ethics are important in order to prevent it. Nevertheless, political scandals, money laundering, secret deals, and contracts that favor a few are pretty common in corrupt governments.

Absolutely. There is unbelievable crime and corruption in Western governments. People are waking up to it more and more, and that's the only good thing going on right now.

Sometimes I feel that some of it is exaggerated. Or it might just be wishful thinking on my part. I wouldn't discount it though. I've seen enough of office politics to know that some people would do anything to rise above others.
