I hate being left in suspense. I prefer the author to end the book instead of leaving it hanging.

I like closure. I don't like having to read the next book to find out what happened.

I don't mind a book "hanging" as long as there is enough closure to warrant its ending and there is a follow-up continuing the story. But I love happy endings when, and only when, they are believable, not pat, and tie up the end of the story nicely.

I much prefer a book with a happily ever after than one that leaves you in suspense over what's going to happen next.

Unless it’s clearly a series of books, most of the time I’d like a concise ending. It’s okay to leave them open-ended too, just depends on the book for me.

I'd personally prefer a "happy ending" because if it is a sad one It makes me feel like I have wasted my time by reading a sad ending book ....and I usually read he last page of the book first to know how things end....I read books to feel relaxed and happy and if there is going to be a sad ending it makes me sad which I not preferable

Suspense as a style of writing it brings havoc, It makes the reader to go beyond the story line of the novel and feature out what happened next with the critic of formulating his/her own questions.I think the style of suspense of a novel should be followed by another thriller to ease readers eargerness about next events.

Yes, yes, yes....did Max marry Karis??? I would have loved to hear that ending, it is known as a Happy Ending ! It was agonizing to get to the end and have no more dialogue that I felt needed to be there.

And how about agent Fisher....there could have been an interesting twist there but no.

There's more to this book and there will probably be a second series.

I hate being left at 'to be continued'. Whether it's a conversation, a line of thought or a well-executed plot, I wouldn't be at ease till I knew the end, and then some.

I would have preferred a clearer ending. In fact, I gave the book one less star due in part to my disappointment with the conclusion. I think the author could easily have wrapped up the story in one book in a far more enjoyable manner for the reader. Conversely, if the goal was always a sequel, I still think the book could have ended on a better cliffhanger. Generally speaking, I really enjoyed the story, but the ending (and a portion of the book leading up to it) really spoiled my reading experience.

There is no such thing as a happy ever after but it would be nicer to see that in a book than "to be continued".

I'd rather to choose "To be continued" than "Happily Ever After" because for me, ending a story in such a short time makes the reader more confused and keeps on thinking the what ifs. Also all the books need a continuation. Different point of view, new challenges and new lesson what can give to the readers or viewers.
