Totally leaving your fiancee for a new career is not the best. I believe internal arrangement can be made without necessarily breaking from a relationship.
Having a new career is great because of the new experience to acquire as well as the remuneration.

I agree. Leaving someone because of a new career must be an arrangement between the two parties. Career must not be a hindrance to a successful relationship.

I have worked at five different places within my career and the thing I am always most excited about is building new relationships with children and watching them grow and change throughout their time with me. The possibilities that the new career opens up. For instance, if you get a job in a different country and you have never travelled before, you are going to be excited to see the people in that country, learn their culture, eat their food, walk on their beaches, see their animals, enjoy their air, ride their bicycles. But then after the thrill wears off, and homesickness sets in, you might decide to change career paths again and come back home.

I new career isn't bad but it shouldn't victimize a hard earned relationship. There are many thinks that emerge in life; if it means ending relationships to accommodate them the it would be too unfortunate.
