I agree. If the love scene is out of place, it destroys the entire story. Romance may still be a good story even without being so graphic.Snowflake wrote:I feel this way too. It seems like a lot of us on the page feel the same way....Mallory Whitaker wrote:I'm personally not into the racy/gushy scenes. I admit they have their place in some genres and/or plots, but I'm perfectly okay without them. I find them a little cheesy a lot of the time.

I agree. There are people who look forward to this part of the book. This has a health benefit at times because it helps in the release of serotonin - happy hormone.Miriam Molina wrote:There are people who look forward to love scenes so they choose romance books. Other genres don't need much loving in them. This book had just enough, in my opinion.

I agree with this.BunnySTx wrote:Honestly it all depends on the type of story and whether it fits into the storyline itself. If it's a soft sweet romance novel then not necessarily. A hot steamy romance? Then yes, I expect that to be in there and will be disappointed if it's not. But if the story is more about espionage, drama and danger...I'd be on the fence about it. I might be okay with maybe once scene but not of where it becomes the focus of the story.
