No, I wouldn't risk everything especially the loved ones for anything because they are the pillars of my life and so would never risk them for anything unless they got my back.

There are things worth risking and there are things worth keeping. I admire how you consider your loved ones.

I will not risk my love for anything - whether it is fame, education or money. Of course I can risk a good job for better opportunities.

Opportunity is an opportunity. It depends on what kind and what level of opportunity is at stake. Is it worth risking? This demands proper discernment.

Scerakor wrote:The bigger issue I have with this isn’t that I would risk everything… it is that I should never be put into a situation where that choice exists. If your significant other loves you truly, they would understand that an opportunity like that exists only once and therefore would understand. I took the beginning of that book to mean that things really were not as serious or as true as they could have been if that understanding isn’t present.
I salute you with your answer. This should have been a great situation where your significant others would have supported you.

Most people choose heart. Because career isn't that much worth that you loose your love. Better try to have both

Up until this point in my life, I have not sacrificed everything to gain a single thing. I would think it would depend on what I stood to gain. People, just like Max in the book, have to weigh their options. If what you, or a character, stands to gain is worth more than what you or the character have already, then it may be possible to risk everything.

Personally, I think I would be very hesitant to risk my love, life, and career for anything--even a dream. Probably because dreams or goals are filled with unknown factors. What if you gave up everything you built for something that isn't as good as you thought it would be? I'd be afraid to take that leap.

Thank you for your question!

I have never taken a Paramount risk in my life, but if my destiny is anchored on a risk-taking adventure, i would definitely fall for it.

Well, it depends on who I'll be taking such huge risks for. If they're worthy, I would.

Yes, I have put everything on the line by giving up my career and a fully restored house, to move to a community hundreds of miles away, so my children could hopefully have a peaceful childhood. My new job was driving and I didn't even have a licence, and the new house was a ruin! It all worked more or less....

Not something I have tried; if it calls for that, then I wouldn't hesitate to risk. It will also depend on what and why I am taking the risk for.
