I absolutely love detective/mystery stories. My first books in the genre were Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldin. I have always been one who is a rabid reader, reading anything I can get my hands on, and I devoured these!

I also read Nancy Drew when I was young. Growing up, I enjoy watching crime scene investigation shows. I love Sherlock Holmes. So, I could say that I like detective stories.

I'm a die-hard Agatha Christie fan. I loved Poirot. I keep looking for new detective novels to sink my teeth into, but those are hard to come by nowadays.

I love detective stories! there's just something fascinating about them. Lately, I have not been able to find one interesting enough to grab my attention, which makes me sad.

Detective stories have, for me, been a firm favourite since I was a child. My favourites included Nancy Drew, The Famous five and of course as I got older, the inimitable Sherlock Holmes! Later on I fell in love with Martin Cruz Smith and his detective Arkady Renko which were fascinating as they went beyond detective to include international espionage and intrigue. More recently, I have enjoyed Stieg Larson's series, which is more in depth and takes you on a long enticing journey with a very unlikely hero- a frail young woman with a dark past.

Yes! I do love detective stories. I love feeling and experiencing the suspense that comes with reading detective books. This is why I hate cliffhangers :lol2: The Sherlock books were the first detective books that I read, and I absolutely loved them!

Detective stories are amazing. I have read many that go from FBI/ CIA to cyber crime investigation and psychic detectives. I love seeing how the characters solve crimes, most of the time they find themselves in over their heads and in ridiculous amounts of danger. There is something that is exciting and satisfying about detective/ mystery/ crime books. Half of the books that I own would fall into this genre, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Detective stories were always my favorite growing up, and I read Nancy Drew tirelessly. However, I began to get tired of them. I do not read them religiously anymore, but I still appreciate a good detective book.
