I find pleasure in reading such stories because they involve high level of professionalism and investigations. They are usually full of twists as to unravel the hidden vices.

I read and enjoyed a lot of Secret Seven and Famous Five series as a child. Now, I generally find detective narratives unnerving so I make efforts to read less of them.

I love detective stories. Started off with Nancy Drew and Hardy boys...can never get enough of the action.

The twists are also what I love about detective stories. At times, the twists, of the story leaves you with awe.

I certainly love detective stories, but all detective stories, only those that appeal to my heart. I always love to learn how to deal with such minds. People who are detectives are perceived to be very intelligent people and love to be such but not on the bad side but to help out the weak and vulnerable in society who fail to handle such minds many times.

Now that you mention it, I still love Nancy Drew books. I don't mind detective stories, I just try to limit my stories on murder because I don't want that to be constantly on my brain. I do like a good mystery though, especially cozy mysteries that are not to gruesome and gory.

Detective stories are my cup of tea! I love enjoying these types of stories. I love mysteries being solved. These stories give me more excitement too compared to love and romance stories.

I must admit I don't like detective stories. My reasoning is that it is too predictable (i.e. the mystery/crime will be solved by the end). Though I realise every genre has its own conventions, so I'm not really sure why I don't enjoy detective stories...
