I love detective stories! I'm a fan of the Sherlock Holmes series. As a child, I would sometimes exclusively read detective stories.

When I was a kid, my favourite detectives were the the investigators, you could imagine a 9 year old sitting all day reading a book in one sitting that how much he loved to read about investigations ....... Later it evolved to mysteries and thrillers, and Dan brown came out to be my next best love

Too much, as a child I would buy an old novel and read it all day without caring about eating and drinking

Yes, my first real detective story was also one from the Nancy Drew series and then there was no going back.

I like detective stories, especially the mystery whodunits. I can see what the detective sees and I will try to solve the case myself.

My answer is a big YES! Great to know that so many here love Sherlock Holmes too. I think despite the many detective stories that came out since his time, the original sleuth still has the most convincing arguments and the most charming personality.

Detective stories increases one's imagination and may teach someone a trick or two though some are unrealistic. I love them since they always give someone a new way to look at things

I've loved mystery for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest obsessions was Sherlock Holmes, who to this day continues to be my favourite literary detective.

I love detective stories. They make me get my detective hat on and try to solve the mystery myself.

I enjoy reading detective novels, my favourite being Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes. Detective novels have a different aura about them-the heroic spirit, the thrilling and chilling suspense..and of course, an intriguing plot!
