I would choose love first. That is something that is hard to come by that is true. Some people (like myself) have been lucky to find it a few years after burying my late husband. A career can come and go but true love is forever. However, if they truely love you then they would support you in your career. Honestly, there shouldn't have to be a choice. However, if there is it shoukd be love.

I'd rather choose love. I did exactly that.I was on track to become a forensic scientist when i met my husband and it was then that i realized that love meant more to me then going for a career.I don't have any regrets. we've been together seven years and married a little over four months now.

I would choose love over my career. I love my partner and I would never sacrifice our relationship for my career.

Right now, I would probably choose my career over love. I know I've got a lot of potential, and with the direction I'm headed, it'll be hard to give that up for anyone. In fact, if my partner asked me to stop, I'd probably break up with them. Somewhere down the future, I'd center my career around my lover, but until then, I can't risk it. They know it too, and they take the time to better themselves and pursue their own life.

I agree with this
Career first genuine "love" and appreciation for each other seems to be less of a real thing these days. So I'd definitely get more satisfaction from being successful in a career.

It depends on your priorities and/or your career. I can understand how someone would choose their career over love if they are doing something that they are really passionate about, or if they are really making a difference in the world. For me, I work to live, not vice versa, so I choose love. I would rather share my life with the person I love.

That's really a tough one. For me it depends upon the each individual and situations. Right now I will choose career since I'm still starting with it and I just would like to grab this opportunity to do a good job on my work first. Then when the time is right then I can go with love. It can actually wait and the time will come in your way. Like the saying, good things comes to those who wait. It is a matter of setting first your priorities in life.

I live in a community where getting married is the most important thing a woman can do- I only graduated high school last year and already two of my former classmates are married and expecting. I guess it's all about what you think you're ready for, but I've always had a bit of a problem with jumping straight out of my dad's wallet into the wallet some guy who's shown even the slightest bit of interest. I'd like to be able to take care of myself first.

I solemnly agree. We won't always find love at every corner...
To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.

I believe that career is the most important.... My policy has always been "Goals before Girls", and for others I've always recommended "Books before Boys"... Career is irreplaceable and usually is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so you should never let it go...

 This is a really tough decision to make. Honestly, I will choose what will make me happier if ever I will be in that position. However, I'd choose love, because I think finding it is rare. :D
