My Trip To Adele: finding my long lost love

Post by myprecious »

Have you ever been to that 'chasing the rainbow' kind of situation? I am one with Elias on that. After his grueling journey from Morroco to Verona, he found the one he is looking for. His long lost love, Malika. But wait, not yet. He found her fulfilling his promise to meet in Adele's concert. But she is not the one he's looking for.

Haha. No, but I imagine it happens to a lot of people. What is conjured in the mind doesn't really pan out in real life when it comes to romanticizing a long lost love or someone you've never met but plan to.

I'm happy to be reviewing this book. I've always loved books in which different characters are linked to one event or place. I think it's a stroke of genius. What do you think Ritah?

I feel that the experience is different for everyone. When I studied abroad in Australia I had not plan on meeting someone or falling in love, but it just happens. You never quite expect it, and then it's right in front of your face. I doubt something like that will ever happen to me again.

off course, experiences are different for everyone, riazziea. That it happens perhaps once in a while makes it all the more beautiful an experience even magical, and maybe it might happen to you again.

Life and its sweet ironies! I've experienced something like that in real life but not as dramatic as Elias and Malika's. In 2009, my first love and I broke up. Yet, I found myself still hoping from time to time that we'd still end up together. Fast forward to 2013, out of nowhere he called me telling me how much he missed me. I was busy that time with school works so I didn't paid much attention to him. After giving some thought, I realized that I still love him so I decided to call him back. Just when I thought that everything's going well, a common friend of ours told me that he just got a girl pregnant! I remember crying the whole night then the next day, it was as if nothing happened and I just get on with my life like the usual. I guess that moment, it suddenly occurred to me that he's not the same person I loved before so letting go was as easy as A-B-C.

Yes, unfortunately! I was in a long-distance relationship with a wonderful man. We exchanged many letters and when we finally were able to meet, I realized he was an alcoholic and my romance was all in my head lol. :)

I haven't been in a situation like that but I assume it can happen to some people.
