I agree as well! Awareness is the first step.

Courage is also needed because even if the woman is aware of her rights as a woman, she cannot fight for her rights if she does not have the courage to stand and say enough.

Awareness, courage and perseverance if I may add. Because after all, one still needs to stand by whatever decision one takes

Women are subdued everywhere, home and at work. Most especially in developing countries.
In what ways did the Nadia challenge you as a person?
This is a great topic. I felt that she challenged me to be a better mother. I am getting ready to have my first child and with so many things happening in our world today I am terrified. She has inspired me that no matter what, love will always bring things together even if you occasionally sacrifice things. I also felt that she encouraged me to really take control of my life and not let it be ruled by others including work. She was my favorite character.

Yes, you are right my friend. The strength of the love Nadia felt for her child is challenging. She showed us that the love makes everything better eventually. No matter how much we've had to sacrifice.
And her resolve to take charge of her life is inspiring too. She didn't come across as fearless but she was brave, she wouldn't allow anyone or situation to subdue her.
She's my favorite character too.
Let me know when your baby arrives. I will keep you in my prayers. Cheers dear

Nadia's strong personality especially given her circumstances made me aware of what women have to go through in many parts of the world.

Nadia was the most sorted out person in the book. She stood up for herself and that is the most important thing. I liked the way her character was shown. Sometimes confused, irritated and stubborn.

I like your choice of words, sorted out just says it. She is vulnerable like all of us but definitely sure of one thing, nobody was going to walk all over her. She stood for what she believed in and she conquered eventually. Thanks a lot for your time ReviewerDiksha
