"In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you." (Mortimer J. Adler)

This quote says everything I wanted to say. I am not a fan of gory details but unexpected twist in adventure stories are awesome.TheSeelieCourtJester wrote:That depends on the scope of the adventure, the complexities of the emotions, and whether or not any gore is involved. If its theme involves some sort of escapism or anything unpredictable, then I'd like to read a book like that. Perhaps the only thing that would cause me to put the book down is if the plot doesn't make sense, or if the characters are just too immature.

I also love reading adventure stories with the same intention to forget harsh realities of life and the hurts caused by other people but I see to it to go back to reality because this is life.Ssinghal wrote:I really love reading adventure stories. They always transport me to another world and I feel as though I am enjoying the adventure along with the protagonists. It is a good way to escape from the harsh and hectic life these days.
