What Songs Describe Your Current Situation In Life?

Post by Amagine »

In the book, the authors chose Adele songs that correlated with the characters and their current situations in life. The lyrics fit well into the plot because in a creative way, they explained the plot.

What songs describe your life the best? Which ones do you feel completely speaks on your life or current situation in life? How does it relate to you? Feel free to write your favorite lines if you want!

For me, my current status is that I'm saving money so that eventually I can move out my current living situation and start fresh somewhere new. I feel like Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," describes my feelings and situation the best.

"Take a risk. Take a chance. Make a change... and breakaway."
"Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude." -A.A Milne

"I am grateful for all the books that sparked my imagination." -Unknown

This question made me think... I'm honestly not a huge music fan. I enjoy listening to music every once in a while, but I'm not really an avid listener. I am a big fan of classic rock though, so I guess I'd have to choose something from that genre. Let me get back to you!

Most Girls by Hailee Steinfeld and Free Me by Joss Stone. Im at a place in life where Im learning to love who I am as woman, yes Im finally embracing adulthood. At 22 Im learning to Be independent and loving the process, although it's scary at times.

This is a great question! Its quite difficult for me to answer as I tend to not remember the names of songs. One that pops mind is Rehab by Amy winehouse, mainly as I work in animal rehabilitation so it's constantly in my head.

Dust in the wind, sad song by we the kings, never wanted to go, and plenty of Christian songs. :)

I feel thorns where my crown was
I be weak but I'm alive
From the dusk until dawn (yeah)
I'll survive because I got sweet victory
Nobody can take it from me sweet victory
Cause I got sweet victory

- This is the hook for Trip Lee's song entitled Sweet Victory. I think the entire album that this song is on speaks to my life (the album is called Rise)

I love the song "dance with my father" because it speaks about how my family misses my father. I am always reminded of him everytime I hear this song.

My all time favorite Adele's song is Hello because it reminds me of someone I deeply loved. My favorite lines are: "Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened?"

I would have to say "Issues" by Julia Michaels! This song is about a relationship between two mentally ill people. They both have more problems than they can handle on their own, but they understand each other and are able to share the burden of their issues together. I'm getting married soon, and we both have our fair share of issues. This song makes me very happy and hopeful.

There's been a few different times in my life where I've had a song that described my situation. When I was working at the worst job of my life my song was "Refugee" by Tom Petty. I listened to that everyday the last few months I was there just to psyche myself up to go into work. For the last two years it has been "She's in Love with the Boy" by Trisha Yearwood because I finally found my country boy with all the manners of a gentleman.

The song that describes my current situation is probably "Autumn Tree" by Milo Green. I like how nostalgic it seems, and how it makes me reflect everything I've been through, good or bad. Another song would be "Transatlantic" by Death Cab for Cutie. I'm going for an interview to a medical school in Poland, and the interview is in New York. I enjoy traveling, so that's another song I'd like to add.
