Did this book encourage you to listen to Adele's music?

Post by Gingerbo0ks »

Our of interest, did reading My Trip To Adele make anyone seek out and listen to some of Adele's music? Had you heard of her before? What is your opinion on her music?

As I'm from the UK and she is a pretty big name over here, it's hard not to have come across an Adele song. It's personally not my cup of tea, but this did not deter from my enjoyment of the story.

Do we have any new Adele fans in OBC because of My Trip To Adele?

Not really. I haven't heard her songs before, and the book didn't make me a fan either. I actually found the insertion of her songs rather boring and skipped them.

I really like Adele's music, although I'm not a huge fan, so I didn't recognise all the songs. It did make me go and look up her songs and therefore discovered a couple of new ones which I liked

I like her music but the book didn't encourage me to listen to her songs. I think that is mostly because I didn't care much for the book.

It's nice to see various responses. Also shows that you don't need to be a fan of Adele's music to read or follow the book.

The book didn't encourage me to listen to Adele's music. I often hear
her songs play on the radio. For me, the addition of song lyrics in the
book is something that the reader has the choice to notice or ignore.

Even before the publication of this book, I already loved Adele's music. I can relate to her songs and I really like her voice.

After reading the book I search to see if there was a YouTube playlist for the book, as of 2 weeks ago there isn't one.

I spent some time listening to Adele's music but didn't find too much that struck a chord with me personally. I enjoy the music I hear on the radio but I didn't feel the urge to buy a cd or anything.

I heard Adele's songs even before I read this book. I love the songs of Adele even without the encouragement of this book.

Yes it did, I already loved her and her amazing songs but reading this book did bring back memories and encouraged me to listen to her since I haven't heard one of her songs in a long time.

The book didn't really entice me to listen further. I'm already an Adele fan, and I enjoyed the book. I didn't like all the songs being inserted, though. That could have been skipped. Other than that, I enjoyed reading the book and have always enjoyed listening to Adele. But no, the book did nothing special for my Adele fandom.
